This is our happy place! Our market is easily accessible and conveniently located on the Backstreet in West Jefferson with a covered shelter to ensure you stay dry while visiting our many vendors.
We also have bathrooms for our visitors on site and offer hot coffee so we can share a cup with you during your visit.
If you truly want to get to know our community, visit our market. We’ll treat you right and you’ll feel like family.
Market Season and Hours:
Our market is open every Saturday rain or shine during market season from 8 am until 1 pm beginning April 15, 2017. Our Saturday Market will close for the season the last Saturday in October.
During our peak produce season we also open a Wednesday Market. This year the Wednesday Market opens on July 5, 2017 and runs through the end of September or when our produce season wanes.
Although our Wednesday Market is not heavily attended by our artisans, our produce vendors bring an abundant supply of fresh, local, seasonal produce during the peak of our growing season for canning, freezing or enjoying with your summer meals.
Our market vendors with mid-week produce drop in on Wednesdays between 8 am to 12 noon.
We are conveniently located at 108 Backstreet in Downtown West Jefferson across from the First Baptist Church between 1st and Second Street, just one block off North Jefferson Avenue.
For your shopping convenience we have an ATM on site located near the coffee mid-way through the Farmers Market.
The Market offers free WiFi for our Market visitors.
We love your pets, too, but they are not allowed under our covered shelter because we have food we are sampling and selling. Service dogs are the exception. Please be aware that during our summer months it does get hot and it’s not safe to leave your dogs inside your car.
There are two restrooms available in the market for your convenience.
On street parking is available on the Backstreet and on side streets near the market in designated parking spots. In addition, parking is available on the grassy area immediately above our market. We ask that you use caution when parking on the grassy area. Watch for vendors and market customers! (Special events may limit the parking availability on the grass.) In addition, you may park in the lot at the First Baptist Church. The spots immediately in front of our sheltered area are reserved for our vendors.
