Craft Jury Information

The Ashe County Farmers Market Board of Directors are currently reviewing our craft policies along with our jury process and our procedures for admitting new craft vendors.

A jury date for the coming season will not be set until this process is complete in late March.  Best guess is that a jury date will be the end of March or early April.  Keep checking back for more information.

The Market is Closed for the 2017 Season

The Ashe County Farmers Market is closed for the 2017 season.  We re-open in mid-April 2018.  Watch this site for information on upcoming events; including our Craft Jury Date (late February/early March), our Seed Swap and Vendor Registration, and our 2018 season opening day (mid-April).

If you wish to contact any of our vendors please call Market Manager Lori Goodman at 336-877-5052.

Thank you for supporting our market.  See you in the spring.

Wednesday Market Information

Our mid-season Wednesday Market has struggled for many years.  Although we do have a couple of produce vendors who have attended regularly with mid-week produce and several loyal Wednesday market customers, many of our market vendors simply do not have the the time, staff or produce to attend two weekly markets and choose to focus their time and attention on our Saturday market.

In an effort to increase both vendors and customers and revive this market, we decided to try changing the hours of our Wednesday market to 4-6 PM.  The time change did not achieve the results intended.  Consequently, we have abandoned our formal Wednesday market hours and have advised our current market vendors with excess produce who wish to sell mid-week to drop in Wednesday mornings between the hours of 8 am to 12 noon.

Our Saturday market continues to thrive and we have abundant produce weekly from local growers.  The Saturday market remains open through the end of October.
